A small speakeasy bar situated on an otherwise dull section of Hunter street, specialising in more than our fair share of cocktails, spirits, craft beers & premium wines.
Large ranges of Australian Gins & Japanese Whiskeys dominate the back bar, with a vast range of all spirits, paired with a complex yet approachable cocktail list which can be fully customised to suit your personal pallet, but this is just the infancy of your experience here.
With complimentary popcorn served on arrival, matching the elegant food offerings, including the wasabi peas & a select menu of specialty made Gyozas, The Koutetsu has something for everyone.”
Expectation upon entry:
To help maintain the overall experience for our patrons, We have a dress code at The Koutetsu. Neat / Tidy attire is to be worn, with no entry permitted if you’re in thongs or a singlet. No exceptions.
The Koutetsu follows RSA standards and has the right to refuse anyone entry to the venue that we deem in unsuitable condition.
FYI for all TK guests: Please be aware, we only hold your table for 15 minutes after the scheduled booking time, so please try to be prompt with your arrival. As we are a small venue with limited capacity, please book for the number of guests you expect to turn up. We cannot accommodate a large booking unexpectedly. RSA regulations apply to all guests, regardless of booking.
